Upgrade Instructions for Email Marketing 2.x

Upgrading Email Marketing is easy within the same major version (ie: from version 2.1.3 to 2.1.5). In most cases, no manual steps are involved.

Update instructions:

1. Make a backup of the CRM server, CRM database and Email Marketing database
2. Run the new setup (do NOT uninstall the old version first, just run the new setup)
3. The setup takes some time as usual
4. The setup upgrades the database, customizations and assemblies for the 'First Organization' selected in the setup
   1. If you have more Email Marketing enabled organizations, you need to upgrade them manually after the setup is complete.
   2. Run Email Marketing configurator on the CRM server and select the organization from the dropdown at the top
   3. Go to the settings page and press 'Create / Update database'
   4. Go to the Customizations page and click 'Import' to import the customizations
   5. Go to the Assemblies page and click 'Register Assemblies' to register the updated assemblies
   6. Go to the ISV page and click 'Update' to update the ISV.config

When the update has finished, verify if everything works as expected. No reboot of the machine or the services is required.
